The recovery phrase is the whole account
The recovery phrase restores an account you have locked out of. It is not stored on the market, and it is not something the market can replace. Write it on paper, keep it somewhere you can reach without a search engine, and do not store it in a password manager that syncs to a cloud you do not control. A lost recovery phrase is not a locked account. It is a closed one.
The PIN is the one that does not come back
The payment PIN authorizes payments and withdrawals, and it cannot be reset or recovered. That is the design. A lost PIN is not something the market can replace, which is what eliminates the account-takeover path where an attacker resets the PIN and drains the wallet. The cost is permanent lockout if you forget it. The PIN is the credential that protects the wallet, and the one you cannot get back.
The window that decides the outcome
If you are locked out, the window is how fast you can reach the recovery phrase. If the phrase is on paper in a drawer, the recovery takes minutes. If it is in a password manager on a machine you no longer have, the recovery is the machine, not the phrase.
